On January 21, 2026, the partners of the Omelette project held their second "Trans-Regional Egg Expert Panel" in Ploufragan (Brittany, France).
This event was organized by ANSES, the Chambre Regionale d’Agriculture de Bretagne and Innozh. It brought together around fifty experts to discuss the issue of laying hen longevity.
Next first results of the project were presented:
EPC: Enhancing longevity and welfare in laying hens
HATO: Decision Tree lighting

The experts were then divided into three groups to discuss:

sector, with a particular focus on in-ovo sexing
iii) discuss and improve
the longevity action plan prepared by the project partners
The project partners also held a work package meeting on the January 20 and the General Assembly on the January 22.
